The Department of Human and Community Development is currently recruiting for the following positions:

Agricultural Sustainability and Society PositionThe Community Studies and Development Unit, Department of Human and Community Development, University of California, Davis, announces an opening for an academic year (9 month), tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level to teach and conduct research on agricultural sustainability and community development. Fiscal term employment (i.e., 11 month) will be offered and continued based on academic personnel review. Candidates should have a Doctorate or equivalent in anthropology, geography, planning, political science, rural sociology, or sociology, and a record of research in the social dimensions of agricultural sustainability. Candidates will be expected to develop a strong undergraduate and graduate teaching program and a research program relevant to the Agricultural Experiment Station (AES) of the University of California. Community and Regional Development and Policy The Community Studies and Development Unit, Department of Human and Community Development, University of California, Davis, announces an opening for an academic year (9 month), tenured position at the Associate or Full Professor level to conduct research, teaching, and outreach addressing key issues in community and regional development and policy. Fiscal term (i.e. 11 month) employment will be offered and continued based on academic personnel review. Candidates must have a Doctorate in anthropology, geography, planning, political science, sociology, or rural sociology, and a record of research and teaching on topics with policy relevance for the socio-economic development of U.S. communities and regions. Candidates will be expected to develop a strong undergraduate and graduate teaching program and a research program including a focus on community and regional change in California.
